As a Senior Backend Developer, you’ll be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality software using cutting-edge software development practices. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers and DevOps engineers, to ensure deployable, scalable, and maintainable software. Your role will also involve writing clean, efficient, well-documented code, troubleshooting, and enhancing software performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain high-quality software using best practices in software development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers and DevOps engineers to ensure the software is deployable, scalable, and maintainable.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
  • Troubleshoot and debug software.
  • Continuously improve software performance and scalability.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in software development.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to team processes and standards.
  • Help build and maintain the backend architecture of the software.
  • Write Unit and Functional tests.

Key Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of commercial experience with PHP v 7+.
  • Good understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP), SOLID principles, and basic design patterns.
  • At least 1 year of experience with Symfony.
  • Good understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL preferably). (Architecture, writing complex queries and their optimization, transactions, and locks)
  • Experience with non-relational databases (preferably Elasticsearch and Redis)
  • Experience with message brokers, preferably Kafka.
  • Must have experience with Docker, docker-compose, and Git.
  • Proficiency in English for reading and writing tech documentation.
  • Experience with microservices and high load is a plus.
